A throwback to the counterculture movement is to be found in the rock musical Hair, set to open this weekend at Clarksville Little Theatre.

Hair performances will take place on May 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 at 8 p.m. each night.  A matinee show will go on May 15 at 2 p.m.  All shows will occur at Clarksville Little Theatre, located at 301 E. Montgomery Ave. in Clarksville, IN.

Tickets for Hair are $15 for adults, $12 for students aged 13-18 years, $12 for seniors aged 60 and up, and $8 for children aged six-12 years.  All tickets can be purchased at the box office or reserved by calling 812-283-6522.  Keep in mind CLT only accepts cash and checks.  More information can be found at the Clarksville Little Theatre website.

Hair is a rock musical of peace, understanding, sex, and drugs during the age of Aquarius.  A tribe, or group of people living the bohemian lifestyle, fight their possible entry into the Vietnam War.  Unlike the famous Broadway production, there is no explicit nudity in this production.

According to the CLT website, Hair will not have any explicit nudity for this production.

Galt MacDermot created the music for Hair while James Rado and Gerome Ragni wrote the book and lyrics.  John Michael Finnegan directed the production for Clarksville Little Theatre.
