Tickets for each evening show are $15 for adults, $!0 for students, and $10 for senior citizens. Matinees are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $8 for seniors. All tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling Walden Theatre at 502-589-0084.

In The Country of the Blind, a one-eyed farmer, who has desires for power and women, finds himself falling into a world of the unseen and the unseeing. The farmer has the opportunity to lead these people.

The people in this land have figured out how to live a life of richness and ability without the need for sight. Can the farmer convince the people of his ideas for the future? Can he get past his self-indulgence for power and women to accomplish this?

The Country of the Blind is based on the H.G. Wells short story. Frank Higgins adapted it for the stage, and Julane Havens directed it for Walden Theatre.

Following The Country of the Blind, Walden Theatre will present the Young American Shakespeare Festival. The festival will go on in May. More information on all Walden Theatre shows can be found at the company's website.
