The productions

Derby Dinner Playhouse will continue through the summer with the classic musical Annie.  This orphaned little girl goes on an adventure of a lifetime as she tries to find her true parents.  Along the way, she will meet a wide range of people from Hooverville residents all the way up to President Roosevelt.

Annie is running from today until August 12.  More information on the show can be found in this article.

This summer will also be packed for fans of the Church Basement Ladies series.  Church Basement Ladies 2 - A Second Helping features the Lutheran ladies serving up another dish of laughter amidst the changing times of 1969.  The ladies must not only face the changes in the world but in themselves as well.  Church Basement Ladies 2 will run from August 14-October 7.

In time for Halloween, Derby Dinner will present the Agatha Christie murder mystery The Mousetrap.  In the mystery, a person has murdered among a group of strangers inside a boarding house.  Everyone is the suspect, and no one can leave due to a snowstorm.  Who committed the murder?  Find out from October 9-November 18.

Just in time for Christmas, meanwhile, is Irving Berlin's White Christmas.  Travel to Vermont and relive this classic production, based on the movie of the same name.  Two WWII-era soldiers are putting on a show in hopes of helping the people they love, including the old General.  Irving Berlin's White Christmas will run from November 20-December 31.

Killjoy opens up the 2013 portion of the season.  A romantic comedy/thriller in time for Valentine's Day, Killjoy features a couple going wrong.  Carol has had it with her husband and has decided to kill him.  Find out how, if she actually follows through, January 8-February 16.

In time for the spring season is Little Shop of Horrors.  The dark musical comedy follows the lives of Seymour, Audrey, a flower shop on Skid Row, and a mysterious plant that keeps growing and growing.  Audrey II, as the plant is named, also has a taste for human blood.  Little Shop of Horrors runs from February 19-March 30.

Finally, Derby Dinner Playhouse ends its season with another musical, 9 to 5.  The production, containing Dolly Parton's score, features three women from opposite backgrounds who attempt to take over their company.  The comedy finds them realizing they can do quite a bit, even in a man's world.  The production runs from April 2-May 19.
