Murder, mayhem, superheroes, and radio-style performances are among what can be found in Alley Theater's double feature, Detective Partner Hero Villain and The Adventures of Candy Matson, this weekend.
The double-feature will take place on Aug. 28-30 and Sept. 4-6 at 7:30 p.m. each night. All performances are to go on at Alley Theater, located at 633 W Main Street in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for each show are $15 for adults and $12 for students. All tickets can be purchased at the Alley Theater website.
The double feature will begin with Detective Partner Hero Villain, which combines the best of the film-noir and superhero genres. The Fantastic Phenomenon will do battle with arch nemesis Supernova in a battle and story that goes deeper than the simple good-versus-evil formula.
Also on this night is The Adventures of Candy Matson, a murder mystery performed as if being recorded in a radio studio. The production features Matson as she attempts to find out who murdered the man she just happen to discover dead in a cable car.
Following the shows, Alley Theater will bring back its popular Star Trek parody Boldly Going Way Too Far for encore performances. Those performances begin Sept. 11. More information can be found at the Alley Theater website.
