Local artist Kenn Parks will have a solo show for the next month at The Bodega at Felice. The opening reception will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Showcasing a full range of creativity in multiple mediums, this show will feature some of Kenn's favorite works on loan from private or corporate collections (not for sale), some brand new large abstract pieces, some new medium & smaller works from the following series: "Metaphysical", "Social-Observation & Experience", "Tree-of-Life" & "Lou-de-Lis" Natural World. There will also be some of his abstract photography for sale.
Kenn's desire is for all of his artwork to evoke & elicit feeling, movement, emotion and passion in all who experience it for the first or one- hundredth time. His work is full of themes dealing with spiritual connection with self, the Earth, Universe, and all people. He is facinated with the connection and passion of relationships, individuality, resistance to the cultural norm of the corporate world/establishment and other themes that dig far beneath the surface and awaken multiple senses "beyond the eyes"! His work is currently on display in public and private collections in 8 countries and 29 states.
Kenn's other talents include acting, speaking and graphic arts. He is also the Marketing Director and Associate Artistic Director for the Alley Theater. In addition to his artistic endeavors, he is a father of four.
The Bodega at Felice is at 829 E Market St.
