Mathematics never seemed to count so much, especially to one young lady in Proof, which Louisville Repertory Company will present beginning tomorrow tonight.

Proof will take place Aug. 22-24 and Aug. 28-30 at 7:30 p.m. each night. An additional show will happen on Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. All performances are to go on at The Bard's Town, located at 1801 Bardstown Road in the Highlands.

Tickets for each show are $15 in advance if paying by cash or $17 if paying by credit. Day of show ticket purchases are $18 per person. All tickets can be purchased or reserved at the Louisville Repertory Company website or at the door. More information on special ticket rates can also be found at the theater group's website.

Proof focuses on Catherine who, near her 25th birthday, is reeling from the loss of her mathematical genius but mentally ill father. During the course of a weekend, she will also deal with her estranged sister, find romance, and go through her father's many notebooks with the help of her father's former student. One of those notebook could contain proof about prime numbers that cold shake the foundations of mathematics as well as Catherine's own life.

David Auburn created Proof, which Angela Miller directed for Louisville Repertory Company. The cast includes Julie Streble as Catherine, Brad Castleberry as Robert, Cory Hardin as Hal, and Lenae Price as Claire.
