Both it's home away from home feel, and it's laid back bohemian crowd quickly draw you in, and captivate your senses. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee meshed with the scent of hand crafted chocolate, the head count of individuals tucked away behind their laptops, literature, or steaming cups of joe, and the sounds of the percolators working their magic, whispered conversation as if this were a library setting, and far in the background, the faint sound of indie rock being played over the speakers. Everyone does their own thing here, though the place is very upbeat, and the patrons seem to be friendly. Not like Cheers where everyone knows your name, but like Quills, where you may spend a quiet afternoon working on whatever fits your fancy, run into a neighbor and share a conversation, or sit out front on the stoop sipping coffee and watching the day and the people pass by.
