Ramsi’s Café on the World owners Ramsi and Rhona Kamar are taking their certified organic farm to the next level this spring by cutting restaurant hours to tend to operations at Raising Hope Organic Farm. By eliminating lunch service Monday through Thursday, the husband-wife duo plans to focus on their 15 acre farm in east Jefferson County that currently houses 10,000 square feet of indoor growing space and a thriving poultry operation.
Dinner service at the Highlands restaurant will continue seven days a week with lunch available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“We really want to focus on bringing even more local, healthy food to our diners this year,” said Rhona Kamar. “In order to give our farm the attention it deserves, we needed to free up some of our time.”
A new ‘midday mezze’ will be offered each weekday with globally-inspired small plates from 4 to 6 p.m. Farm fresh dishes like stuffed eggs with bourbon-tomato jam and fried haloumi cheese with olives and oranges highlight the mezze menu. Drink specials include wines by the glass and well drinks for $2.50, $10 bottles of wine and $2 domestic beers. A member of the Urban Bourbon Trail, Ramsi’s Café features more than 60 bourbons, an international assortment of wine and spirits, and signature farm-to-bar cocktails and non-alcoholic refrescos. The mezze menu and drink specials will also be available for ‘midnight mezze’ Monday through Thursday evenings from 10 p.m. to close.
New hours of operation are 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday with a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
