Late October, New Orleans rapper-turned-fashion mogul Lil Wayne was scheduled to make an appearance at Dillard’s in Jefferson Mall in order to promote TRUKFIT, his collection made to appeal to male fans of the hip hop artist who are also skaters which made its debut at the national chain department store in October. Unfortunately, Lil Wayne had to reschedule when he fell ill from seizure-like episodes aboard his private plane; he is now on anti-seizure medication.
This Friday between 4 and 8 p.m., Lil Wayne will make a second go at an appearance in Jefferson Mall, where he will be attending a VIP party in honor of his collection’s launch. The first 300 shoppers who buy $150 or more from TRUKFIT at either Dillard’s location in Jefferson Mall, Mall St. Matthews or Green Tree Mall will receive a wristband, granting them access to the party at Jefferson Mall. The first 10 who spend $500 or more on the collection will be part of an exclusive meet and greet with the rapper, as well as receive a TRUKFIT exclusive.
The party will be hosted by B96.5’s DJ Q and Keisha Nicole, and there will be free TRUKFIT giveaways while supplies last.
