Love and family in the golden years are explored in The Last Romance, which opens at Little Colonel Playhouse tonight.

The Last Romance performances are to happen on Oct. 12, 13, 19, and 20 at 8 p.m. each night.  Matinee shows will take place on Oct. 14 and 21 at 2:30 p.m., and a dinner show will go on Oct. 11 beginning at 6:45 p.m.  All performances are to happen at Little Colonel Playhouse, located at 302 Mount Mercy Drive in Pewee Valley, KY.

Tickets for all but the dinner show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 60 and over, and $12 for students.  Dinner theater tickets, if still available, are $18 extra.  All tickets can be reserved by calling 588-1557.  More information on the show can be found at the Little Colonel Playhouse website.

The Last Romance features themes of love and family as older couples experience relationships during their later years.  The show is a combination of humor and heartbreak as the overall message takes shape: one of taking life and living with passion.

Joe DiPietro created The Last Romance, which Bill Baker directed.

Following The Last Romance, Little Colonel Playhouse presents Gulf View Drive.  That production will run in December.
