Last month marked the beginning of a new movement in Louisville local music. The rally to raise local musicians closer to their dreams continues this Friday at The Louisville Palace with special guests; A Lion Named Roar, Field of Kings, and The Foxery.
Doors open @ 9 . Admission: $10. 18 and older event.
A Lion Named Roar
"A Lion Named Roar has turned my ear back onto Louisville as a viable scene again. It's the first band I've signed from the area in 10 years. I'm excited for the world to hear this amazing group. The future is bright for these young men." - Scott Frazier (Management: Volbeat, Saving Abel)
Field of Kings
"Field of Kings does not strum simple chords as fast as Mumford, but they mix country boy folk-n-roll with blues leading to a very seductive musical product. The band is drenched in folk-rock vibes, emotionally charged by the fiddle and love-tortured vocals." - Michael Hannon Tierney (Insiderlouisville.com)
Since hitting the music scene in 2006, The Foxery has continually expanded its horizons, refined its sound, and toured the Midwest and South wooing audiences in coffee shops, small venues, and night clubs in Louisville, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Nashville, Atlanta and more; opening for the likes of Ra Ra Riot and Circa Survive. They have also been featured on several college radio stations as well as WFPK's Live Lunch.
