Moms get a lot of love around Louisville for Mother’s Day. Fathers do too, but seems like it’s on a slightly smaller scale. Here are some options if your special dad, grandfather, uncle, stepfather, etc. is in the mood to go out and about this Father’s Day.
Take Dad to the Louisville Zoo for the day. If you don’t have a membership which gets your whole family in for free anyway, fathers can enter for free admission on Sunday, June 15.
The Belle of Louisville is offering their annual Father’s Day BBQ cruise on Sunday, June 15.
Make a special gift for that special man for Father’s Day at Good Garbage in Portland. On Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. they are offering a FREE workshop for little ones to make dad a special something.
Treat Dad to the Farmington Market Father’s Day Extravaganza on Sunday, June 15. From 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The flea market is happening this weekend and will feature Farmington antiques, a unique outdoor market, different and delicious food, and find that one of a kind item. Dads can enjoy their Father’s Day at the market with bourbon tastings, fly fishing, hand-rolled cigars, wine sampling, free home tours of historic Farmington Plantation, and much more. See their Facebook event post for more information.
You can take the dads to a Sunday brunch (although that sways away from the “freebies” part!) – look at this list from louisville.com. I’d also highly recommend a nice Brunch, Bubbly, and Jazz brunch at BLU Italian Grille!
