Two of Samuel Beckett's short plays are given the classic and Masterworks treatment in Happy Days and Krapp's Last Tape, which open tonight.

Happy Days and Krapp's Last Tape performances will take place Aug. 25, 26, 27, 29, Sept. 1, 2, and 3 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  A matinee show will also occur on Sept. 2 at 2 p.m.  All performances are to happen at Walden Theatre, located at 1123 Payne Street in Louisville.

Tickets for most shows are $15 per person.  However, the Aug. 29 performance is only $10 per person.  Tickets can be purchased by calling 502-599-3011.  More information on the show can be found at the Savage Rose website.

Samuel Beckett's short plays Happy Days and Krapp's Last Tape will be performed beginning tonight.  Happy Days presents a woman who, despite paralyzing chaos and a nearly forgotten past, remains optimistic, if barely.  Krapp's Last Tape, meanwhile, showcases a elderly man, just now turning 69 years old, looking back on his earlier years and earlier naive and arrogant views.

Michael Harris of Masterworks directed Happy Days alongside Laurene Scalf and Brad Casselberry.  Alex Volz, meanwhile, directed Krapp's Last Tape with J. Barret Cooper.
