Characters left alone look to be completed in the production Six Characters in Search of an Author, which opens at Walden Theatre this weekend.

Six Characters will take place on Oct. 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinees are to happen on Oct. 12 and 19 at 2 p.m. each day. All performances will go on at Walden Theatre, located at 1123 Payne Street in the Highlands.

Tickets for each evening show are $15 for adults and $10 for all others. Matinees are $10 for adults, $8 for all others. All tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling Walden Theatre at 502-589-0084.

Six characters are literally in search of an author in this play that features the unfinished ideas (thanks to a disinterested author) wanting someone to finish their tragedy. They'll go to any lengths, including crashing a rehearsal, to find the right author.

Luigi Pirandello created the production, which Steve Moulds adapted. Hallie Dizdarevic directed Six Characters in Search of an Author.

Following Six Characters, Walden Theatre will present the Young Company production of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. That production will happen later this month.
