Two friends and lovers are linked by the lifetime of letters they send in Love Letters, which opens at Bunbury Theatre tonight.
Love Letters will take place from Feb. 7-10 and 14-16 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinees will go on Feb. 10 and 17 at 2:30 p.m. each day. All performances are to happen at the Henry Clay Theatre, located at 604 S. Third Street on the Henry Clay Building's third floor.
Tickets for each show are $21 for adults, $18 for seniors at least 65 years of age, $10 for children 12 and under ,and $10 for students with ID. All tickets can be purchased at the door or at the Bunbury Theatre website.
Love Letters features two lifelong friends who share their life experiences via letters, beginning with birthday part thank you notes and extending into summer camp, boarding school, college,and beyond. Despite going their separate ways for a time, the letters help to prove that love and friendship can still carry on.
The production stars Jane Welch and Matt Orme. Steve Woodring directed the A.R. Gurney-created Love Letters. Gurney's script was nominated for a Pulizer Prize in drama.
Following Love Letters, Bunbury Theatre will present the world-premiere comedy Another Cocktail Dear? The production will run in April.
