Shelby County Community Theatre brings the worst kids in the world to The Best Christmas Pageant Ever beginning Friday.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever performances will take place on Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 7, and 8 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  Matinees, meanwhile, will go on Dec. 2 and 9 at 2:30 p.m. each day.  All performances are to happen at Shelby County Community Theatre, located at 801 Main Street in Shelbyville, KY.

Tickets for the show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 62 and over, and $10 for students.  Due to limited seating, reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 502-633-0242.  More information on the show can be found at the Shelby County Community Theatre website.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever has the entire town coming out to see a traditional Christmas show.  For some, it's a way to get into the Christmas spirit.  For many others, it's a chance to see the Herdman kids, arguably the worst kids in the world, possibly destroy the play.  Will the play meet its end, or will even the Herdman's catch the Christmas spirit?

Barbara Robinson created The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, which Rick Reinle directed for SCCT.

Following Christmas Pageant, Shelby County Community Theatre will present Harvey.  Auditions for that show will go on Dec. 2 and 4.
