Spirits take over a man's life in the comedy Blithe Spirit, which opens at Bunbury Theatre on Friday.

Blithe Spirit will take place on Oct. 14, 15, 19-22, and 26-29 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  Matinee shows, meanwhile, will go on Oct. 16, 23, and 30 at 2 p.m. each day.  All shows are to happen at Bunbury Theatre, located in the third floor of the Henry Clay building at 604 S. Third Street in the Old Louisville area.

Tickets for each show are $21 for general admission, $18 for seniors beyond 62 years of age, $16 for students with ID, and $10 for children under 13 years of age.  Tickets can be purchased either at the door or at the Bunbury Theatre website.

The spirits have been called for Blithe Spirit, which features a novelist trying to gather material for another work via a seance.  The spirit of the novelist's first wife is called up, and she wreaks comedic havoc on him and his marriage to his second wife.

Blithe Spirit's cast includes Mary Ann Johnson, Roger Fristoe, Claire Sherman, Susan McNeese Lynch, Tony Prince, Jennifer Levine, and Teresa Wentzel.  Juergen K. Tossmann directed the Noel Coward-created production.

This show is the first of several for Bunbury Theatre this season.  More information on the upcoming shows and season tickets can be found in this article.
