If you’re feeling out of sorts after the long winter, chances are you can use a lift. Joyce Gerrish, a holistic practitioner and teacher, is offering three free classes on energy and auras over the next three Tuesdays at Rainbow Blossom Natural Foods, 3046 Bardstown Rd. in the Gardiner Lane Shopping Center. Although Gerrish offers three classes, attendees are welcome to visit any one, two or all three.
The March 16 class, Sensing Energy & Auras, will take participants through an energy meditation to open and enhance one’s aura and energy centers (chakras). The guided experience helps to sensitize one’s intuition while relaxing at the same time. As individuals learn ways to access healing energy for oneself, they can then share it with others.
On March 23, Balancing Our Energy & Aura will take participants will continue—or begin anew—what was covered at the March 16 class, plus handout charts will be available so participants can easily practice the skills at home, promoting their ongoing wellness.
The final class on March 30, Enhancing Our Energy Centers (Chakras), will teach participants effctive ways to cleanse and open the seven major energy centers in the aura, or chakras. Each energy center supports a different aspect of the body; this class in particular will focus on the heart center, which enhances the ability to give and receive love reciprocally with friends and loved ones. Gerrish says, “As we send out love, it returns tenfold.”
At all three classes, attendees will receive an individual energy healing from Gerrish.
Gerrish will also teach natural healing and meditation courses through JCPS’ Lifelong Learning adult education program starting the week of March 22. She has 25 years’ experience as a heart-centered holistic intuitive spiritual therapist for emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. She is also a Reiki master and an expert in hand and foot reflexology and acupressure.
