Yum! Family Series Program and Stage One: The Louisville Children’s Theatre kick off the 2009-2010 season of theater for young audiences with the Richard Scarry classic Busytown.
With over 300 children’s books in his resume, Richard Scarry’s books of anthropomorphic animals made him a very popular children’s author. With the help of lyricist Kevin Kling (Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse) and Michael Koerner, the musical stage version is coming to Stage One! Busytown is always buzzing with activity. Colorful characters (Huckle Cat, Farmer Pig, Grocer Cat, and more) come alive to teach what happens in different settings across town.
The show is recommended for kids ages 4 – 8 and appears at the Kentucky center on October 24 at 10 am and 2 pm, and November 7 at 10 am.
Single tickets on sale now. To purchase tickets visit www.KentuckyCenter.org, or call 502.584.7777, 800.775.7777, 502.562.0730 (TTY). Group discounts are also available.
