Carrie, the Musical's title character is an isolated, constantly-bullied, young school girl. The popular crowd doesn't want her, and most others ignore her. At home, her overzealous mother makes her life difficult. Yet, Carrie will soon learn of a power she has that could transform her from misfit to something else entirely.
Michael Gore created the music and, along with Dean Pitchford, the lyrics for Carrie, the Musical, with additional contribution from Lawrence D. Cohen. The production is based on the Stephen King novel.
For Wayward Actors, Craig Nolan Highley directed the production, which features Rebecca Leigh as Carrie. Other cast members include: Kristy Calman as Margaret, Samantha Weathersby as Sue, Jake Minton as Tommy, Shawnna Ashley Speth as Chris, Andrew Moore as Billy Nolan, Heidt Platt as Miss Gardner, Greg Collier as Mr. Stephens, Karissa Kathryn as Norma, Katie Hay as Frieda, Valerie Canon as Helen, Marcus Todd as George, Gerald Alan Robertson as Stokes, and Taylor Clemons as Freddy.
