The Louisville Bats Baseball team is a symbol to many Louisvillians. It symbolizes a family night out together, friends chilling at the Overlook Deck, and grandparents and other older couples tracking their scorecards who religiously follow the team in their season ticketed seats. It’s a staple in Louisville. It has been since April 2000. On its groundbreaking, opening day on April 12, 2000, then Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson said, “The ballpark would replicate the glory days of baseball. We believe the combination of the historic train shed building and the modern, comfortable ballpark integrated with it will provide a feel and an aura that could not be replicated anywhere."
Take your family out to the Louisville Bats Opener on Thursday, April 10. They are playing the Columbus Clippers at 6:35pm. For the first 2000 fans, you’ll get a beer stein and a magnetic season schedule. The Louisville Bats baseball games are always a blast and a huge hit for the young and old at heart. But especially for families, they have a way of slowing us down a little bit, enjoying the company with each other, and doing something fun in downtown Louisville. Pair a day or evening game with so many Waterfront Park options in downtown, from riding surrey bikes to walking up the Big 4 Bridge. The Louisville Bats Baseball Club works with so many groups, schools, and other organizations around the city to provide many entertaining promotional days at the games, including team autograph days, kids inflatable fun zone, kids run the bases, and $1 hotdog and $1 Pepsi nights, among others. It really is valuable, kid-friendly, family-oriented entertainment in our thriving downtown that already has so much to offer residents and visitors of Louisville.
Ticket prices for a single game run from $7 lawn and bleacher seats to $23 for a Grand Slam Club seat. Tickets are available for purchase; click here for more information. There are many packages available as well. Call 855-228-8497 for more details. My family and I will be seeing you at the ballgames!
