The Theatre Alliance of Louisville unified auditions will take place at Jefferson Community College's Howard Building, located at the corner of First and Gray streets in downtown Louisville. Those wishing to audition can sign up during registration, which will run from 8:15-10 a.m. A required actor information meeting will take place at 8:45 a.m.
As of right now, the participating groups in the auditions include the following: Shoestring Productions, Actors Theatre, Actors Theatre's apprentice company, Drama Studio, Alley Theatre, Heyman Talent Agency, Finnigan Productions, Little Colonel Playhouse, Looking for Lilith Theatre Company, Juneteenth Legacy Theatre, Savage Rose Theatre Company, Louisville Repertory Company, and Pandora Productions.
During the day, there will be movement and dance calls, auditions, interviews, and callbacks, among other things. Auditioners are asked to bring 15 copies of resumes and pictures. Those auditioning should also prepare either two monologues of different styles (for example, one comedy and one drama) or prepare one monologue and 16 bars on a song. An accompanist will be on hand for the auditions.
