Do you ever want to go out to eat, but just can't make up your mind as to where to go? Are you a recent transplant to the area? Or maybe you've lived here all your life but never ventured outside the confines of national restaurant chains (shame on you!), or mistakenly think the only good restaurants are in Louisville (a rather metro-centric predjudice, don't you think?). Well, here's your salvation.
This Thursday, Kye's in Jeffersonville will be turned into a smörgåsbord of selections from local favorite restaurants and caterers. And for a mere $25, you can sample the goods. Preview some of the offerings of local restaurants without the hassle and expense of dining there. And then - once you're hooked - you can go dine at your favorite establishment. From what I've experienced in terms of local restaurant offerings, I can predict with fair confidence that you will enjoy what the Taste of Jeff has to offer.
Jeffersonville is home to a fine selection of restaurants, cafés, and bakeries, and spending your money at these local establishments is a great way to support your community. As if that weren't enough, you can also feel good about where your money for the Taste of Jeff is going, for the event proceeds will benefit community projects. Ah, giving back to the community and getting fed in return. What an excellent way to spend a Thursday evening!
The event runs from 6:00-10:00p.m. at Kye's, 500 Missouri Ave, Jeffersonville, IN. Tickets are available at the door and at the following: Schimpff's Confectionery, Choices, and the Mayor's Office. For more info call City Hall (812) 285-6400 or visit www.JeffMainStreet.org.
