A love story in the middle of a hunt for their kind is the focus of The Temperamentals, which opens at Kentucky Center tomorrow.
The Temperamentals will take place on Mar. 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31, and April 1 at 7:30 p.m. each night. A matinee show will occur on Mar. 31 at 2:30 p.m. All performances are to happen at the Mex Theatre, located in the Kentucky Center for the Arts at 501 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for each show are $16 in advance and $18 day of show. All tickets can be purchased at the Kentucky Center box office, the Kentucky Center website, or by calling the box office at 1-800-775-7777. More information on the show can be found at the Pandora Productions website.
In The Temperamentals, two lovers, Harry Hay and Rudi Gernreich, wind up helping in the formation on a gay rights activist group during the 1950s. This was in the middle of a hunt for temperamentals, which was the code word for gay during the era.
Following The Temperamentals, Pandora Productions will present Bare. That production is set to open in May.
