There is no better way to celebrate Jason Noble, than with music [Music]

Print

First and foremost, thank all of you for the kind words and complements on my last piece on Louisville legend, Jason Noble.

I come to you today to further encourage you to join in the celebration of such a remarkable individual by coming to Hunter Embry’s ‘New Vintage Showcase’, in collaboration with Greg Livingston (among others), celebratory concert tomorrow night at Zazoo’s.  In speaking with Hunter, the whole idea of the concert was to highlight Jason’s contributions to the local music scene but also the impact he had throughout the world.  Since being back from New York, dang for almost a year now, Hunter’s ‘New Vintage Showcase’ has dominated lineups that would make Forecastle jealous, but this event is slightly different.  Hunter has been involved in the local scene for several years now and while Jason’s name had a recurring presence in ‘musical’ conversations, they usually ended with talk about ‘how genuine a person Jason was’.    Since I don't know all the thousands of you out there, I'm not sure how many folks can honestly say people would say the same about them.  I know most would say that about me but the expletive to follow 'genuine' isn't quite fit to print here.

There will be performances by Frontier(s), Lydia Burrell, Peter Searcy, Pinata Me, The Cloven Hooves, words by John Timmons and a suggested $5 donation will get you entry.  If you don’t know who Jason is, never knew him, don’t know the names of his bands or any of his music, come out.  You will experience a taste of greatness that shall live on forever.

*** Remember, a celebration of Jason Noble's life will be held at the Clifton Center on Sunday, Sept. 2nd from 1:00pm-4:00 pm as well.***
