Come join us for a presentation on Environmental and Socially Sustainable Development and Living, facilitated by Onaje Jackson, founder and president of Sustainable Systems and Design International based in St. Croix. Jackson is a major force in fostering "green thinking and development" throughout the Caribbean. An architecture graduate from Yale, Jackson holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies from MIT.  He has solidified his reputation in state of  the art solar and wind powered electrical systems for homes and businesses, environmentally sound water treatment alternatives, and assisting developers with environmental impact assessments and ecologically sustainable design. Also, Jackson is a founder of Crucian Heritage and Nature Tourism, a coalition of St. Croix residents and businesses promoting the advancement of Crucian heritage  and nature tourism as a vehicle for sustainable development of the St. Croix community. Onaje is a great-great-grandnephew of Kentucky State University's founding president, John H. Jackson. The presentation will be held in Room 238 AB of the Cooperative Extension Building from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.  Box lunches will be served. Call and let us know if you are coming so a box lunch will be ready for you.
