Thoroughly Modern Millie is an energetic musical that sees young Millie Dillmount leave her small Kansas town in 1922 and arrive in New York City. Millie begins her search for a job, er, well, a rich-husband-via-a-job. Meanwhile, a plot to kidnap orphans, as well as a person Millie befriended, develops.
Dick Scanlan created the lyrics for Thoroughly Modern Millie. Scanlan worked with Richard Morris on the book, and Jeanine Tesori created the music. Tyler Bliss directed the production for Floyd Central High School.
