    Mama’s Hip, the natural and attachment parenting store and community center in the Highlands is a great place to take toddlers for enriching activities. Shannon Stone, owner of Mama’s Hip, has created a diverse schedule of various playgroups that occur at the store on Bardstown Road. The schedule is as follows:

    Mondays, 10am-12pm

    6-12 month playgroup

    Tuesdays, 11:30am-1:30pm

    12-24 month playgroup

    Wednesdays, 9:30am-11:30am

    Play Together, a group for high needs children

    Wednesdays, 12pm-2pm

    6-12 month playgroup

    Thursdays, 12pm-2pm

    Homeschool playgroup

    1st Thursday of the month

    Crafternoon, 1pm-2:30pm

    Fridays, 11am-1pm

    12-24 month playgroup

    Saturdays, 11:30am-1pm (2nd Sat of the month)

    Working Mama Group

    Saturdays, 11:30am-1pm (3rd Sat of the month)

    Single Mama Group

    Saturdays, 11:30am-1pm (4th Sat of the month)

    Play Together-for high needs children

    Every Saturday, 1pm-2:30pm

    Crafternoon

    To participate in these various playgroups and meet-ups, purchase a Playgroup Pass. Right now, Mama’s Hip has a special running; for $35 you can drop-in to any playgroup at Mama’s Hip for 6 months for $35.00. For details, click here.

    In addition to the playgroups offered throughout the week, there are lots of opportunities at Mama’s Hip to engage your toddlers in arts and crafts, music, yoga, and other activities. Click here for more information and Toddler Art and Family Music Jam classes.
