For the second time, The Trews will play Uncle Slayton’s and the fans will love

The Trews are in the midst of a residency tour in the US promoting Hope and Ruin, their fourth full length album.  Originally from Antigonish, Nova Scotia;  two brothers, their cousin, and their best friend will call America home for at least the next three weeks as they journey around the states so fans can jam.  Being on the road is hard and these guys are dedicated to being in as many locations as possible to appease their fan base.  The Louisville fan base grew three fold after The Trews played Uncle Slayton’s in mid-November.  A major fixture on the Canadian music scene, The Trews believe the American leg of the tour will bring them closer to the fans.

Their return to Louisville signifies the commitment these guys have to rock n’ roll and their fans,  as the guys will drive into Louisville from Alabama the day of the show.  Louisville.com talked with Colin MacDonald (guitar/vocals) after the previous Louisville show and he commented, “The residency tours allow us to connect with fans in a city”. John-Angus, guitarist and brother to Colin commented on their last visit, “Louisville is one of the great American cities where some of our favorite people come from, among them Muhammad Ali and Hunter Thompson. We look forward to getting to know it a little better throughout the course of our residency gigs.” Sean Dalton (drums) and Jack Syperek (bass/vocals) will join Colin and John-Angus Saturday evening.  The guys gave it all they had and were more than happy to talk and visit with fans after playing their set-super nice guys!

A very good description of The Trews’ style is pure, unadulterated rock n’ roll and Uncle Slayton’s provides a warm, inviting atmosphere for friends to gather, have an adult beverage, and jam in their own little world.  When asked about the venue, John-Angus was very pleased, “Uncle Slayton’s is a great venue with great sound run by great people. Can’t wait to get back!”  The venue can make or break a band and the fantastic sound and lights at Uncle Slayton’s add to the overall experience.  The Trews’ music stems from influences such as Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and Kiss, although they developed a style unique to their personalities and beliefs.  They want their music to mean something.

Now, for the need to know. The Trews play December 3rd (this Saturday) at Uncle Slayton's.  Doors open at 8:30p  with the show at 9p, with Justin Lewis and The Tunesmiths. The show is 18+, tickets are $8 in advance & $10 day of show.  Tickets are available at http://ticketf.ly/rczikz and at Uncle Slayton’s, 1017 E. Broadway.  Everyone experiences a little hope and a little ruin in life, The Trews just put it to music-a must see!
