Louisville is a hub for all kinds of amazing second-hand or consignment shops. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a high-end consignment piece or a two-dollar skirt; you can find it in Louisville. Out off Preston Highway is one particularly great place for anyone’s unique thrifting needs: Unique Thrift Shop.
Housing everything from costumes to pots and pans, this place is a goldmine. I have found countless dresses, chairs, even books here. It’s a great way to save money – and the possibilities are endless as to what you’ll find. I once found everything to make a Halloween costume there for under $15.
Their furniture section is amazing, too. Most of their chairs, sofas, and artwork are in really good shape, and there’s a lot of it. Pricing is so good you’ll be tempted to walk away with two dining room sets. It’s a blessing and a curse.
They have an abundance of clothes to choose from. Racks on racks of every size, color, or style that you could need take up the majority of the space in this building. I’d suggest taking a look at their shoes—they’re all steals, and they’re usually in great condition.
If you’re anything like your grandma, you love knick-knacks. Unique has knick-knacks, and a lot of them. I’m not one for clutter, but it’s one of my favorite parts of going to this thrift shop. Seeing all of the old or funny pieces is as much of an adventure as it is a hoot. I will say that they have one of the best mug collections in all of Louisville. So many good mugs.
Not enough to sway you into going? What if I told you that you could get 30% off? That’s right: every Monday and Thursday, if you become a member (totally free), you get 30% off your purchase. VIP member. 30% off. Every Monday AND Thursday. You really can’t beat that.
So get out to 6201 Preston Hwy today. They’re open Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 7:30pm, and on Sundays from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Have any amazeballs deals that you’ve gotten before that you want to share with me? Let a girl know. See you there!
