The University of Louisville Saddle Seat Team will host a ISSRA horse show on Fe

The University of Louisville’s Saddle Seat Team will host a Intercollegiate Saddle Seat Riding Association (ISSRA) Saddle Seat Horse Show at Zubrod Stables on February 9, 2013. ISSRA rules to apply.

Saddle Seat riding is the same discipline as in the World’s Championship Horse Show held during the Kentucky State Fair for those of you who may not know what it is.

Colleges participating in this show are University of Louisville, Morehead State University, Northern Kentucky University, University of Kentucky, Marshall University, Eastern Kentucky University. There are also alumni classes.

Classes to be held are:

1. Alumni Saddle Seat Equitation

2. Alumni Saddle Seat Pattern

3. Open Saddle Seat Equitation

4. Novice Saddle Seat Equitation (A)

5. Advanced Saddle Seat Equitation (A)

6. Walk-Trot-Canter Saddle Seat Equitation

7. Open Limit Saddle Seat Equitation

8. Novice Saddle Seat Equitation (B)

9. Advanced Saddle Seat Equitation (B)

10. Walk-Trot-Saddle Seat Equitation

11. Novice Saddle Seat Pattern (A)

12. Novice Saddle Seat Pattern (B)

13. Open Saddle Seat Pattern

14. Walk-Trot Saddle Seat Pattern

15. Advance Saddle Seat Pattern (A)

16. Advance Saddle Seat Pattern (B)

The show schedule begins with horse warmups at 1 pm with point rider forms due at 1:20 pm. A coaches meeting begins at 1:30 pm with the draw for the 1st class’s horses at 1:45 pm. Show begins at 2 pm.
