The Vixens never cease to amaze me with their hilarious antics as they mix sexy entertainment with amazing talent. Their latest show, Va Va Variety, opened Saturday and garnered the second standing ovation I've seen them receive.

The show is usually hosted by Deadly Dita, but it opened this time with Coop De Ville announcing that he was happy to finally get the chance to host a show. His hopes were dashed on the stage when she approached him and told him that she had said he could "co-host."  They launched into a fun rendition of "Anything You Can Do," setting up a competitive spirit for the rest of the show. They took the stage between acts to compete in different ways like a hilarious competition of the "kings" - Coop (who is known for his Elvis songs at the shows) donned full period costume as King Henry, singing "Henry the Eighth," and was interrupted when Dita came on stage in an Elvis suit, and they battled it out with an Elvis song. Other appearances included such fun antics as a "Cher - off," a magician (Dita) and her assistant (Coop), and a fun Sherlock and Watson sketch. The most hilarious, heart warming, and fun thing about this duo's antics is knowing that they are actually married in real life.

The show featured an array of acts with beautiful music, vocalists, dancers, and aerialists. While many of the costumes were mash-ups recycled from previous shows, there were some amazing new additions. There is an aerial cube performance with three aerialists performing together in suits covered in gold adornments that is absolutely breath taking.

Kenya Kissme has been a staple in the Vixens shows and growth, but she finally has a solo act in this latest production. You may have seen her twirling and wielding her blades on stage, but this time she does so for a full-length number on stage alone and strips her top off for the first time ever in an act reminiscent of Amazon Goddesses.

Another notable act is the ever adorable Lola Licious. This lady always has such an adorable mix of class and classic beauty. Her strip tease as a gardener was no exception and quickly became my favorite of her acts. Quickly hiding her bits with the rose bush in front of her or a package delivered by the mail man, she teased the audience and tugged at their "cute reflexes," too. She's just so stinkin' adorable. It was also hilarious that a fellow came in after she left the stage with a hose, ready to water the garden. Many other sketches aided in the final standing ovation.

The Vixens also branched into new territory with shadow dancing, which I've not seen them do before and was wondering when they would. The only thing I really wished there had been more of in this show was some of the ballroom dancing that has been incorporated in the past.

This show was highly entertaining and worth every penny of the tickets, which are $20 or $30 (VIP). You can catch the remaining shows at Headliner's Music Hall on June 20, 21, 27, and 28. Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time at the Headliner's web site.
