Valentine's day romance in Louisville, according a Yelp reviewer

What? You haven't had enough of the flotsam and jetsom of Louisvillians' internet activities from my weekly dispatches from the wilds of Craigslist

Well, now I bring you the best Yelp reviews I can find each week. Yelp reviews are mostly pretty blah, but if you dig deep enough they're comedic gold. Here. I've done the deep digging for you. Enjoy!

Navigating Valentine's Day is tricky. One wrong move and somebody ends up disappointed or heartbroken. Alex K. kept it casual and made reservations at Danny Mac's, a pizza place inside an American Legion post.

"I took my girlfriend there for a Yelp inspired Valentine's Day and dawg-gone if it wasn't the best V-Day I've had since the second grade when I got three ninja turtle valentine's cards."

Things got off to a good start:

"On my very special Valentine's day date, we were courteously escorted under the pink and red streamers to what I'm dubbing the heart room, where the magic happens. It was covered wall to wall with valentine's decorations and all the tables had a single red rose for the fairer of the pair to be dining there that evening."

And the food was pretty good too:

"We dined on pizza and handmade cupcakes from a local baker, and Bourbon and Sprites (the bar didn't have ginger ale) and we danced to the pre-quarter-fed juke box to classics like Merle Haggard and Fats Domino well into the night. Kind of surprisingly, we were far from the only couple in the heart room, which sort of blew my mind..."

And it kept getting better:

"It sure as hell beat the socks off of fighting for a reservation and cramming into a stuffy over-busy underwhelming 'fancy' spot for a hallmark holiday. We had more romance listening to the wistful tunes of Merle Haggard over a slice of pizza served by a delightful woman who had no idea of the kitchen intricacies, I solemnly swear. We've gone back probably 3 more times since and wave to our waitress who I assume is a member. Love it. Keep it real Danny Mac's, I mean weird."

But take a tip from Rachel R. and maybe skip the Outback Steakhouse, okay?

"We were there on Valentine's Day, just me and the boy. At 7:30 they said we'd have an hour wait (working in food service told me that wasn't true) so we stuck it out for about a half hour. The manager came around and offered people some cheese fries, which I'm pretty sure were a screwed up order but they were still yummy."
