In its continuing effort to pay homage/parody recent and classic TV shows and films, Alley Theater presents Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 13 and Firefly: The Lost Episode starting tomorrow.

Buffy and Firefly will be performed on Aug. 3, 10, 17, and 24 at 10 p.m. each night.  All performances are to happen at Alley Theater, located in The Pointe at 1205 E Washington Street in Butchertown.

Tickets for each show are $10 each and can be purchased online at the Alley Theater website.  Tickets can also be purchased at the door.

For those that don't know, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, an early 1990s movie and later a TV series in the late 1990s and early 2000s,featured the young title character as the last in a line of Vampire Slayers.  As she fights off vampires, demons, etc., she is aided by a Watcher, who trains and guides her, and the Scooby Gang, her loyal friends.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 13 is a continuing series for Alley Theater. In this season, Buffy is in her 30s, pregnant, and is reuniting with the Scooby Gang after a long time away.  Can she pick up where she left of with her calling?

Meanwhile, Firefly was a TV series that lasted all of one season (2002), yet spawned the Serenity movie and plenty of fandom.  Following a space civil war in 2517, members of the losing side take residence in a place called Serenity.  Cultural clashes and a renegade group aboard a Firefly-class starship take center stage as Serenity's inhabitants attempt to move on and live.

In Firefly: The Lost Episode, members of a group must deliver an item to someone known as "Fox."  The group will also encounter former enemies and new situations that could unite the group or pull them apart.

Alley Theater will continue its homage of films and shows later this month with The Princess Bride Experience.  More information on all Alley Theater shows can be found at the group's website.
