Waterfront Development Corporation and Public Radio Partnership Announce
The Public Radio Partnership Waterfront Wednesday Disaster Relief Concert
On September 28th, 2005 On the Harbor Lawn at Waterfront Park
5:00PM until dark
Join the Public Radio Partnership stations, WFPK, WFPL and WUOL for the Public Radio Partnership Waterfront Wednesday Disaster Relief Concert. For this concert, the last Waterfront Wednesday concert of 2005, Public Radio Partnership and the Waterfront Development Corporation have joined with the American Red Cross to collect donations for the Hurricane Katrina disaster relief effort.
The September 28th Public Radio Partnership Waterfront Wednesday Relief Concert is sponsored by Red Hook Ale, Southern Comfort and Friends of the Waterfront, and will feature special guest Shannon McNally opening the show, followed by The Navigators, Hem and The Duhks. We've never required admission, but this month our sister stations are joining with us to take donations for Red Cross Hurricane Relief efforts. The suggested donation is $5, but feel free to give whatever you can! Come with an open heart and enjoy some great music!
Performance times indicated below are approximate barring any weather complications.
Enjoy live music on the Waterfront Park Harbor Lawn, located between the boat docks at the Great Lawn and the Children's Play Area. Parking is available along River Road, in the Green Lot, the Orange Lot, and surrounding pay lots. Celebrate "over the hump day" with the downtown work crowd - enjoy a cash bar of your favorite beverages, free food samples (while they last), and great company. Not to mention the breeze from the river and a beautiful sunset that can't be missed! No coolers, cans or bottles on the Harbor Lawn please!
For more information, visit the Waterfront Park website. Waterfront Wednesdays are produced by WFPK and the Waterfront Development Corporation.
