Follow the yellow brick road to one of the most unique orchestra concerts you will ever witness!
See one of the most beloved films ever made, "The Wizard of Oz" like you've never seen it before. This event takes place on Saturday November 17th at 1:30 PM and again at 8:00 PM at The Louisville Palace. The completely re-mastered “The Wizard of Oz” film is stripped of the music and will be shown on the big screen with the Louisville Pops Orchestra performing the score!
The original voices of the film have been left in so you’ll get to hear the songs performed by the original artists! Maestro Weinberger will lead the orchestra in the brilliant translations of Harold Arlen’s lost scores while the original vocalists sing. Hear Judy Garland sing “Over the Rainbow” (voted the greatest movie song of all time by the American Film Institute) accompanied by the Louisville Pops Orchestra.
