I really don't know how we started driving through a giant cave to look at Christmas lights, but sometimes it's better not to question. A really fantastic experience (especially if you have kids!). It's 1.2 miles of 850 Christmas lights displays, and it's the only underground Christmas lights display in the world. Read Louisville.com's review here.

Lake Forest always puts up a good show for the holidays. Make sure you're driving slowly and keeping an eye out for kids!
Colloquially known as "Halloween Street", the festive people of Hillcrest Avenue also put on a good show for Christmas.
The lights display in Melon court spans fifteen houses and has a Toyland theme. People who walk or drive through are encouraged to make a donation to Home of the Innocents.
A real hidden gem, the square in Charlestown has "Carriage rides, a Christmas parade, breakfast with Santa, and lots and lots of lights. we have an animated light show second to none in the city square, lights throughout Greenway Park and all around the city."
