Last night some of Louisville most fashionable ladies and gents gathered at the Henry Clay in support of the Family Scholar House for the Wine, Women, and Shoes event. The event included a live and silent auction, wine and bourbon tastings, as well as a runway fashion show. The runway shoe included Kentucky Derby appropriate choices for both the guys and gals alike. All clothes seen on the runway are available from the Saks 5th Avenue in Cincinatti.
Family Scholar House's mission is to end the cycle of poverty by giving single-parent students the support they need to earn a four-year college degree. This event was a fundraiser for the organization. Mistress of Ceremonies was none other than Vicki Dortch herself from from WLKY 32.
WW&S was originally inspired by the classic country balled "Wine, Women, and Song." The event offers both charity and corporate clients the opportunity to use their expansive network and multi level platform to achieve a variety of goals from fundraising to community awareness. The team is now in their 10th year and have produced over 175 events, helping raise $20 million for various women's and family-related causes. If you're interested in hosting an event with the WW&S shoes team you can visit their website for more information.
Local bloggers and style aficionados The Kentucky Gent and The Chic Street were in attendance covering the event for Louisville.com and The Voice Tribune. Huge thank you to the WW&S team for having us!
