As Little Red Riding Hood is making her way to her Grandmothers house, Rapunzel is letting her golden locks down to her handsome prince. These two situations are just two samplings from Grimm's Fairytales which are included in Into the Woods. In the clever musical Into the Woods, written by James Lampine and composed by Stephen Sondheim, you are introduced to a mixture of fairytale short stories all of which are cunningly intertwined. This seemingly blissful fairytale conclusion takes a complete u-turn in the second act where each character discovers new evils and an increasingly gruesome story line.
The entangled plot and diverse characters makes for an enjoyable evening as well as a completely new view of the Beautiful Cinderella, the worrisome baker and bakers wife, the witty witch, the brave Little Red Riding Hood, and the adventurous Jack and the Bean Stalk. Don't miss this Broadway style Portrayal of Grimm's Fairytales!
