WorldFest returns to the Belvedere Labor Day weekend [Food and dining]

It is my personal opinion that every American should try to visit another country at least once to see firsthand what it is like outside our bubble. Luckily for the many of us who can’t afford plane fare, this weekend sees the return of WorldFest, which takes place downtown on the Belvedere (located just north of the intersection of 5th and Main Streets.)

At WorldFest you can sample ethnic food, see a parade showcasing the diversity of our fellow global citizens, shop at booths selling arts and crafts from many countries, and see almost endless music and dance performances from around the world. Also taking place is the annual naturalization ceremony, where “hundreds of people will take their U.S. oath of citizenship.”

This festival is free to attend, and takes place from September 2-4. It is open each day from 11 AM to 11 PM.
