This Saturday at least, but going forward you can expect Moon Taxi to take off even further into stardom at shows for all ages to enjoy.
Coming off a stint with Perpetual Groove, and recently fronting for international reggae/rock sensation Matisyahu, this may be your last chance to see Moon Taxi in such an intimate setting. Having grown into veterans of the I-65 corridor, Moon Taxi rolls into ZaZoo’s Saturday bringing great excitement with the release of their latest venture, Cabaret. I was fortunate enough to speak to frontman Trevor Terndrup last night, and as they started the latest leg of their travels in Chicago, his enthusiasm for performing the new record live was exuberant to say the least.
Since 2007, Moon Taxi has always fought to bring forward a unique experience for their fans and ever aspire to bring that to their live shows. Saturday bodes to be no different, especially with the new album. According to Trevor, fans should expect a new set list but the same community that makes everyone feel like their having a night to remember with their closest of friends. They love seeing those familiar faces and welcome the challenge to put forth the best live experience possible, while creating albums that will do their legacy justice. With one foot in the jam scene and one in the indie/rock scene, we should all be confident that the future will bring just that. I just hope everyone gets a chance to ride the Moon Taxi this time around. The fares won’t stay this low so enjoy the trip while you can…see you Saturday.
