Walden Theatre's resident student writers will have their work showcased in the 2012 Young Playwrights Festival, which takes place this weekend.
The 2012 Young Playwrights Festival will go on Feb. 9, 10, and 11 at 7:30 p.m. each night. A matinee show will go on at 2 p.m. All performances are to happen at Walden Theatre, located at 1123 Payne Street
in the Highlands section of Louisville.
Tickets for all shows are $8 per person and reservations can be made by calling Walden Theatre at 502-589-0084. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. More information on the show can be found at the Walden Theatre
The 2012 Young Playwrights Festival is an annual event that showcases short plays by Walden Theatre's up-and-coming playwrights. This year, no fewer than eight plays will be staged, including: Ian Jackson's One Last Dance, Jack Schaver's Ze Pizza Guy, Travis Ryan's Table 3, Chris Lockhart's More Than Meets The Eye, Lilia Conklin's #2 Pencil Only, Lucy Fitzgerald's Time Play, Jack Keyes's Scars, and Olivia Millar's Wondering.
Following the Young Playwrights Festival, Walden Theatre will present Arthur Miller's The American Clock. Performances will take place from Feb. 23-Mar. 3.
