Print Dress for Success's Winter SaleDress for Success Louisville Boutique309 Guthrie StreetDec. 4, 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m.All items are less than $5 and proceeds benefit programs to provide attire and job-development tools to local women looking for employment or career advancement. Since its founding in 2000, Dress for Success Louisville has helped more than 2,900 women, serving 12 counties in Indiucky, er, Kentuckiana.Celebrate repeal dayDec. 5Proof on Main702 W. Main StreetThe invite is short on details, but do you really need to know more than that Proof is serving prohibition-inspired cocktail specials? Of course, Kentucky doesn't strike me as a state that's lacking in moonshine.Bardstown Road AglowDec. 5, dusk-10 p.m.Bardstown RoadLocal shops, galleries, restaurants and hangouts will help keep you weird this weekend with their special sales and events at Bardstown Road Aglow. And you can keep yourself warm and liquored at Four Roses tastings at participating bars and restaurants. Santa and the Elves will appear at 6 p.m. via the Pool Party Express Sleigh. There's a free trolley service from the Douglass Loop to Lexington Road to transport the rest of us. For more info, visit www.bardstownroadaglow.com.Sub Rosa Presents Star Wars Vs. Star TrekDiamonds Pub and Billiards3814 Frankfort Ave.Dec. 5, 8:15 p.m.-Dec. 6, 2:15 a.m.Geeks might be in attendance as fanboys square off in a battle of sci-fi flicks. Coming in costume is, of course, encouraged. More than 150 people attended a similar event last July. The Captain Midnight Band from Nashville will be playing (hopefully it rehearsed "The Imperial March"). There'll also be Star Wars and Star Trek trivia, meaning there's a decent chance of an Ewok and Klingon throwing haymakers in the parking lot over the estimated size of Chewbacca's junk to the nearest parsec. Holy crap I just spelled Chewbacca, Ewok and Klingon correctly on the first try.
