Zombie Tag on the River [Downtown]

Print
Ladies and Gentlemen - now for something NOT Derby related.

This Saturday afternoon the last brave vestiges of humanity will defend our fair city from an invasion of Zombies.

That's right - Zombie Tag is back.

Last time, a lone zombie unleashed in a crowd of around 300 people resulted in near total zombification of all human beings in under 2 hours.

This kind of game has been spreading around college campuses for ages. It's a fascinating sociological experiment in vector transmission for both disease and information. That's all very well and good, but you care because one of the many fine people helping Keep Louisville Weird has taken the game off campus and into the city where the rest of us can play without looking like creepy crusty old people trying to pick up fresh college meat. If you're into that kind of thing, the kids will be having an after party nearby, but really, for those of us past college age, this is all about youth and beauty being defeated by wisdom, experience, and better ammunition.

Come armed with nerf guns, balled up socks, or boffer swords. (Speaking from experience, the socks and swords are the most effective means of slaughtering the undead masses. Guns jam and the darts don't stick so well.)

Since this is inspired by a college game, you can, of course, find more information on Facebook.
