Friday Night Live will take place on the front lawn of the Home, from 5pm til 10pm, on Friday, August 1st. We will have music by the Midlife Crisis Band and the Epics and the food and beverage booths will be open, as well as several of the adult gaming booths. There is no rain date for this event.
The 158th Orphans' Picnic, will be held on Saturday, August 2nd from noon until midnight. Variety of booths, Raffles for the Capital Prize, Weekend Getaway, Fine Dining and Grandfather Clock.

Vevay Main Street presents “Grape Escape” for August First Friday. Sponsored by the Swiss Wine Festival, the event will be held Aug. 1 from 6-9 pm in downtown Vevay.
Downtown businesses will feature art exhibits and demonstrations, dining and late night shopping. Live entertainment will be provided by country bands Pure Country and Dry Fork. Free carriage rides will also be available.
Judging will take place for local businesses who are participating in the wine barrel decorating contest.

Signatures of Switzerland County presents The Art of Urban Eden—Urban Meets Rural during Vevay Main Street’s August First Friday. The opening is part of the “Grape Escape” event to be held Aug. 1 from 6-9 pm. Sponsored by the Swiss Wine Festival, the event is free and open to the public.
Featuring six artists from the Cincinnati-based “Urban Eden” shop and gallery, the troupe showcases a wide variety of mediums including pottery, abstract paintings, photography, fiber, sculpture, and contemporary crafts. All artists will be available at the Aug. 1 opening from 6-9 pm.

The Louisville Nimble Thimbles quilt guild is 28 years young and is dedicated to exploring the art of quiltmaking. All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged.
We meet the first Thursday of the month at 6:30pm and the third Thursday of the month at 10am. Guest speakers, teachers and lecturers lead hands on classes and demonstrations which allow our members to learn more about the art of quilting.
