Shelly Zegart's love of American quilts began in the mid-1970s when she was looking for quilts to use as art in her new home. The American Tapestry Alliance is a 25 year old non-profit organization that promotes and supports tapestry weaving. Friedman is internationally recognized for his groundbreaking work with advertising and posters but his larger body of work has encompassed a wide-ranging series of explorations including furniture design, bookmaking, art installations, sculpture and photography.
