The Mazin Annual Art Exhibition was conceived and created by Bernice and Benjamin Mazin and the Jewish Community Center’s Visual Arts Committee. For the students who have taken the first class in Self Help Meditation, or for anyone who has been meditating successfully for one year or more. This class broadens the meditative learning from the Self Help Meditation I class and introduces several new deepening techniques that allow the individual to reach a perfect point of stillness. Stress reduction on a continual basis is emphasized, as well as the accompanying benefits that occur to the immune system.

Discover the world of commercial voice work as you learn about auditions, taking direction, the recording studio and the key ingredients of a voice demo. All participants will record a variety of commercial reads including straight pitch, characters, dialogue spots, PSAs, and cartoon voices.

Come be a part of the third session of the Frazier Museum Sword Guild and learn the art of combat and sword fighting!! Barrett Cooper, Manager of the Interpretation Department, and Eric Frantz, Interpreter, will instruct students in the art of the long sword and stage combat utilizing the text of the 14th and 15th centuries! Over the course of 8 classes, each student learns the proper techniques for combat sword fighting used by the Frazier's own Intepretation Department. No prior experience is necessary. The Frazier Sword Guild will supply all weaponry and equipment needed.

Students will learn to paint the human face and body. Attention will be given to shape, form, light and shadow. This class will also explore the use of color and composition for psychological effect. Instructor: Marty Edlin, Bachelors degree from the University of Louisville and Masters degree from the Art Institute of Chicago. Marty has been teaching art since 1986 and his artwork has been exhibited since 1984.

The Frazier hosts Liberty on the Border: A Civil War Exhibit September 27, 2008 through January 19, 2009 as part of the Lincoln Bicentennial.
