Meet photographer Matthew Sandercock, whose work finds art in the everyday. Taking this approach, Matthew says "every photo expedition becomes a mini adventure, and I rarely come back disappointed."  A die-hard film photographer, Matthew has used a 35mm Pentax P30 SLR for 18 years, and added digital capabilities within the last two years. I am a certified as an Instructor by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training to offer classes. The goal of the class is to learn more about firearms and other weapons. After taking the course, you may be eligable to obtain your concealed deadly weapons permit allowing one to carry concealed. You may receive a certificate of training from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training after the course.

October 17 - November 18: TATJANA KRIZMANIC PASTELS Tatjana Krizmanic’s pastel works are whimsical displays of European-influenced public and domestic scenes in brilliant strokes of color, making what would seem to be an ordinary occurrence into an extraordinary experience. Her work contains a warm cheerfulness where shifting perspectives make everyday settings come to life.

This class will focus on astronomy from an observer's point of view. Questions answered: What resources do I need to discover the universe? How much of what is "out there" can I see? Do I need to invest in expensive equipment to get the most out of stargazing? In six sessions, the universe will be revealed to you! It is an exciting place and you have a ringside seat! And we will answer the last question here and now.....definitely not!

Students will learn to paint the human face and body. Attention will be given to shape, form, light and shadow. This class will also explore the use of color and composition for psychological effect. Instructor: Marty Edlin, Bachelors degree from the University of Louisville and Masters degree from the Art Institute of Chicago. Marty has been teaching art since 1986 and his artwork has been exhibited since 1984.

The Frazier hosts Liberty on the Border: A Civil War Exhibit September 27, 2008 through January 19, 2009 as part of the Lincoln Bicentennial.
