The Carnegie Center for Art and History in New Albany, IN offers a free family art workshop from 10 am-12 pm the second Saturday of each month. At our December 13 workshop, we will be making woolly sheep ornaments using fuzzy fabric, black felt and beads, ribbon, and jingle bells. Pre-registration is required (812-944-7336). The Frazier hosts Liberty on the Border: A Civil War Exhibit September 27, 2008 through January 19, 2009 as part of the Lincoln Bicentennial.

The Speed Art Museum in Louisville premieres one of the most important collections of American art in the world. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness: American Art from the Yale University Art Gallery features the best American art from 1660 to 1900, presenting a glimpse into the history of this great nation from its pre-Revolutionary beginnings to the Gilded Age.

The American Tapestry Alliance is a 25 year old non-profit organization that promotes and supports tapestry weaving.
