The mid-South’s premier show for outdoor enthusiasts returns to the Kentucky Exposition Center for nine days of fun for the whole family. Attendees can shop for and book their next vacation, then visit hundreds of booths that showcase the latest in boating, fishing, hunting, camping and RVing. Special attractions include the Take Me Fishing Center, seminars from hunting and fishing pros, canine athlete competitions and the Kids Adventure Trail.

Amazon Voyage: Vicious Fishes and Other Riches Temporary Exhibit, Open January 24 – May 2009

Infinite Riches in a Little Room is an exhibit of local artists who have participated in LVAA's Food for Thought program. A montly luncheon and lecture series. This is exhibit will run side by side with DinnerWorks 2009. Come and see an exhibit rich in culture and support your local artists! Exhibit is free and open to the public Monday-Friday 9-5pm and Sunday 12-4pm.

“Oil and Water” is the newest art exhibit at the Jewish Community Center’s Patio Gallery. The Patio Gallery, located in the lobby, is the elegant setting for imaginative exhibits featuring the innovative artwork of locally, nationally and internationally recognized artists. “Oil and Water” is comprised of both oil and watercolor paintings from a local husband and wife team, Patricia Ritter and George McCracken.

Steve Wilson Gallery/ Street Gallery KMAC’s Artist Member Juried Exhibition celebrates the artistic endeavors of its active artist members as the galleries are filled with their ceramics, glass, metalwork, woodwork and various other art and craft media. The exhibit represents a rich and diverse collection of work, ranging from traditional to innovative explorations art and craft styles. All the artwork included is recently produced, often being exhibited for the first time.

B. Deemer Gallery presents the latest series of landscape paintings by artist, Ellen Glasgow. A reception will be held for the artist on Saturday, January 10 from 2 - 4 PM and the exhibition will continue through February 17, 2009.

Listen to the changing rhythms of tobacco farming in Kentucky to the cadence of the auctioneer’s call. Free with museum admission. This theatre performance will be shown every Wednesday in January.

Kendal R. Miller of Photography by Kendal will be the featured artist at Signatures of Switzerland County during the Vevay Main Street Jan. 2 “Happy New Year” First Friday event. Miller will show new works, including new local and area landscapes and nostalgic memorabilia. She will also demonstrate the art of hand-coloring photographs with pencils—now more often done by computer.

This is a wholistic course of study that will aid anyone willing to put forth the effort to improve all areas of their life. Through the regular practice of mental disciplines and the invaluable experience of interaction with other students in class you will accelerate your growth and awareness of Self. Come be a part of the third session of the Frazier Museum Sword Guild and learn the art of combat and sword fighting!! Barrett Cooper, Manager of the Interpretation Department, and Eric Frantz, Interpreter, will instruct students in the art of the long sword and stage combat utilizing the text of the 14th and 15th centuries! Over the course of 8 classes, each student learns the proper techniques for combat sword fighting used by the Frazier's own Intepretation Department. No prior experience is necessary. The Frazier Sword Guild will supply all weaponry and equipment needed.
